One Transit. One designated driver. Eleven people who get to actually play. Premium audio for the ride home, dual climate for the Oklahoma heat, $165 a day. The smarter way to do a Texas-to-OK casino weekend.
Texas doesn't allow casino gambling. Oklahoma does. The Texas-Oklahoma border is lined with massive tribal casinos drawing weekend traffic from Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, and McKinney year-round. WinStar World Casino (Thackerville, OK) is reportedly the largest casino in the world by gaming floor square footage. Choctaw Casino & Resort (Durant, OK) is the other heavyweight.
The problem with the typical Texas-to-Oklahoma trip: everyone wants to drink, no one wants to drive home sober. Ubers from Durant or Thackerville back to Dallas hit $250 to $400+ with surge pricing. If a Uber driver is even willing to make the cross-state trip. Two SUVs means two designated drivers who don't get to play.
One 12-passenger Transit solves it. One designated driver, 11 people who actually get to play, premium audio for the ride home, $165 a day. Reaches Choctaw in about 90 minutes, WinStar in about 75 minutes, Riverwind in about 3.5 hours.
Thackerville, OK. About 75 minutes from Dallas. World's largest casino by gaming floor. 8,500+ slots, table games, hotel, golf, dining. Common day-trip or weekend stay.
Durant, OK. About 90 minutes from Dallas. Massive complex with hotel towers, water park, dining, entertainment. Choctaw Nation tribal property.
Norman, OK. About 3.5 hours from Dallas. Chickasaw Nation property, popular for the slightly farther road trip with overnight stays. Lower-key vibe than WinStar.
Chickasaw National Recreation Area near Sulphur, OK. Less casino, more natural springs and trails. Good combo trip with a Riverwind stay.
Newcastle, OK. About 3 hours from Dallas. Quieter alternative. Common stop on the way to OKC or Norman.
WinStar and Choctaw are favorite bach destinations. Weekend stays with hotel rooms, bottle service, designated van transport. Premium audio, designated driver.
Starting at $165 a day. What you see is what you pay.

“We rented a Transit van for our family of 11 to travel from Dallas, Texas, to Destin, Florida, and had a great experience. The van was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our trip.”

About 75 to 90 minutes depending on traffic. WinStar is at the Texas-Oklahoma border in Thackerville, just off I-35. Easy in-and-out, even as a same-day round trip.
About 90 minutes from Dallas, taking US-75 north. Slightly longer than WinStar but a calmer drive with less highway traffic than I-35.
Yes. Popular pattern is WinStar Friday night, Choctaw Saturday, back to Dallas Sunday. Total round-trip miles around 400, so consider adding the reasonable unlimited mileage at checkout to skip overage math.
Yes. 12 seats, premium audio, designated-driver setup, charging ports. Couple of standard rules: no smoking inside, no leaving the Transit trashed at return (a cleaning fee applies for excessive interior cleaning). The designated driver must stay 100% sober.
